Argh.. I'm on page 160 in Hunger Games... Idk Peeta or Gale! At which point do I have enough info where I can make a choice between the two?

Hillari said...

NEVER!!!! Gale isn't even in any more of the book. Sorry, I hope that wasn't too much of a spoiler.

Yen said...

Oh, well, in that case, Peeta.. cuz he's a far more interesting and complex character!

Hillari said...

Heck Yes!! What's the score now, Keilee?

Keilee said...

WHATEVER! You guys may be winning now, but just wait until the first of September. Gale's gonna whip Peeta's momma's boy butt into shape with his hot, hunter, masculinity. Then you guys will realize how wrong you were and you'll wonder why you didn't side with Gale in the first place. HA!

Nope, just finished the book and I still love Peeta. How was it even a competition between them in the first place?

Amanda said...

Yen! You traitor!

It's funny you mention it, because I just got the Hunger Games on hold at the library again. I also got Catching Fire. But I don't know what number I am because it doesn't list it until the book actually comes out. Ugh.

Also, I heard the next Eragon book is coming out soon? Anyone else heard any rumors?

Gale is SO MUCH COOLER. Yen, you never got to see my comparison chart. I'm gonna find it and post it...

What are you talking about, Peeta is a far more interesting and complex character?!?!

Peeta is PREDICTABLE. Can you honestly say you didn't expect him to do exactly what he did? He tries hard, but he's not the hero. He's not a strong, survivable character she can lean on in times of trouble like Gale. She doesn't even really love him. She pities him.

So? Peeta is cooler still! And haha... I just put a hold on Catching Fire as well. Hopefully when it comes out, I won't be so stupid like last time and accidentally cancel it. The only reason why one can't predict what Gale is going to do is because he's only in the first few chapters!

GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! GALE!! He's mysterious!

First of all, be nice to me, just because i like to read, doesn't mean you can be mean!

Second-
Counting Stars-really, kinda
Princess and the Hound-looked kinda stupid to me
Don't judge a girl by her cover- Already read, Aly created another amazing book! Yes, be jealous!
Sabriel, etc- really??
Unwind-never heard of it
Actor and the Housewife- one word, duh!
The Seige of Macindaw!!!!-heck yes! I still need to read the 5th though.

Now some books for you!
First, the chosen one looks good. I read Shannon Hales website and I want to read it now!
Second, if you haven't read the Pery Jackson and the Olympians Series YOU MUST READ THEM! LIKE NOW!! The last one in the series just came out and I just finished reading it. Then when i saw aliens in the attic they had a commericial for a movie for the first book "The Lightning Thief". It look exactly how I imagined it. I'm so excited!

Hey! Shannah I meant that as a compliment.

You ABSOLUTELY need to read Counting stars, it's like Sound of Rain good.

I thought the princess and the hound would be weird too, but it ended up a pretty good book. I still think about it randomly. It just sticks in my dead. Ya know those kind of books.

I'm reading unwind right now and it is reminiscint of the Uglies series. Just in the futuristic kind of way. A girl I volunteer with recomdended it (Laura, Yen).

Sabriel and etc. Keilee's cousin loved them. We were at girls camp and she randomly picked it up and then couldn't put it down. I've reand them more than 3 times. I only do that with books I absolutely love.

I just put the 1st percy jackson on hold.

Siege on Mainclaw just came out like today or yesterday (I haven't checked since wednsday) and i'm only 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. I have 9 holds and none of them are coming in anytime soon. UGH!!

Oh, one more note on Sabriel series? You just gotta trust me. Just give it a try. Please? For me??? I have never read such a formidable enemy in all the books I've read.

Amanda said...

I have never read such a formidable enemy? What does that mean?

Also, with the Hunger Games...Aren't we tied right now? Aly, Hillary, and Yen for Peeta. Shannah, Keilee, and I for Gale. Am I missing anyone I know?

Hillari said...

Formidable. Like wow, this is a big enemy. A lot of books I read the villains/evil force are very weak and don't give me the sense of "the world will be REALLY crappy and awful if the bad wins."
I can even sometimes think, "It isn't that big of a deal if the hero loses." Not with this book. Nuh Huh.

Amanda said...

What is the first book in the series with Siege of Macindaw?

Hillari said...

The ruins of Gorlon

SHANNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just saw that they're making a movie of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HYPERVENTILATING!!!!!!!
